Welcome to my Wild Side Heroine Project
My aim with these Wild Heroines Series is to reach to as many women as I possibly can and inspire them to take an active role in changing their lives for good and the world we live in while we are at it. I honestly believe the reason why there is still so much gender inequality and female abuse in the world today is down to a lack of the right female empowerment. It is not about hating men or try to become better than them, it’s all about trying to be as economically independent as them. All these women are trying their hardest to do so with their own natural talents and resources.
These wild women don’t have a single drop of envy or jealousy in their bodies. They are genuinely good but they have built the character to be as bad as they can be good in order not to be abused again. They know their worth and they don’t compete with other women, only against themselves. They also know that whatever they want they just have to go and get it or work hard to get it, even if for a while it looks like they are not doing anything, don’t you worry, they might just be plotting how to get it. Period.
These women are wiser because they have been naive, they are prettier because they were bullied into believe they were uglier, they are happier because they have bled loads of tears, they shine brighter because they have experienced the utmost darkness. They are fearless because they have been in hell and got back feeling stronger and head even higher. They have learnt to love themselves when nobody did, and just that fact alone can differenciate them from the majority of women out there. They are who they are because they’re not afraid to change in order to become the women they wanted to be.
These women are usually free of dogmas of how a woman should be, act, behave or even dress like in order to fit in, so of course they made a lot of mistakes trying to be “normal”. Whenever they tried to fit in the past, the world sent them experiences to eventually find out that, actually, perhaps they were just meant to stand out, as that is what they’ve always been good at. Which it’s both, a blessing and a curse. It might have been a hard tough long road for these women to find out that their natural ability to stand out without even wanting to is what generated so much hatred, hostility, adversity and cruelty towards them while growing up. But truth to be told, that is what made them the kick ass wild women they are now, they wouldn’t change all that suffering they had endured for anything else, because that is what made them who they are now. Often called divas, some may call them bitches by those who can’t get in them nor be them.
I have lately decorated my blog content with posts which deal with issues women have to face, such as respectability, sexuality, abuse, inequality, etc. Because that is a reality that I know, that I have experienced, that I have witnessed other women experiencing. And I want to celebrate every single woman, song, movie, book, quote or story that has tried to fight against it, inspired me, shared my way of thinking or is working towards it, like I have decided to do with my blog and my photography.
However my focus for this artistic project is to celebrate the women that haven’t yet got that far but are working towards making their ambitions and dreams a reality, despite how crazy other people may think they are while doing so. I mainly wanted to portray the dreamers, the ones that are working hard to achieve whatever they set to achieve, because that is a feeling I can definitely relate to. And I particularly love to celebrate the ones that alongside helping themselves they actually want to help other people in their way.

Perhaps it’s not such a crazy idea after all to celebrate the hard working women out there!. ;D
